AI Processing Policy

How careersstat uses AI, the data shared with providers, and the safeguards applied. Version 1.0.

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Scope

This policy explains how CAREERSBAR LTD uses artificial intelligence within careersstat: which providers we use, what data they receive, the safeguards we apply, and your choices. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What AI is used for

Generating narrative summaries and insights from labour market statistics.

Answering research questions in the intelligence and chat features.

Drafting report sections from data you select.

AI is never used for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you (no automated credit, employment, or pricing decisions).

Providers

OpenAI (API) — text generation and analysis. API content is not used to train OpenAI models under their API data usage policy.

Google Gemini (API) — text generation and analysis under equivalent no-training API terms.

Current providers and locations are always listed at /subprocessors.

What data is shared with providers

Only the content needed for the feature: your query text and the statistical context the feature operates on.

We never send passwords, payment data, or your full account profile to AI providers.

Prompts pass through our safety layer, which sanitises input, strips prompt-injection attempts, and applies hardened system prompts before any provider call.

Safeguards

No training: our provider agreements prohibit using your content to train foundation models.

Human oversight: AI outputs are decision-support drafts. We label AI-generated content and you remain responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

Rate limits and usage caps prevent abuse, and AI usage is metered per plan.

Injection defences: all user content passes through sanitisation and prompt-safety checks, with regression testing against known attack patterns.

Accuracy disclaimer

Large language models can produce plausible but incorrect output. AI-generated summaries and analysis are provided for decision support only and do not constitute legal, financial, or policy advice. Verify material conclusions against the underlying official statistics shown in the product.

Your choices

AI features are invoked only when you actively use them (asking a question, generating a report). Avoiding those features means no account content is sent to AI providers.

Organisation customers can request AI features be disabled for their workspace by contacting admin@careersbar.com.
